Newbury Round Table is a non-profit making club for young
men aged between 18 and 45 which meets socially on the
first and
third
Tuesdays of
every
month.
In the winter these
are often
dinners
in the Square Bar and Grill in Newbury, usually with an invited speaker.
In the
summer the events are more geared to the outdoors, for example cycle
rides, meals and a cricket match. Have a look at the events
diary for a better idea
of what we do. Newbury Round Table also raises money for charity
through collections, around
Christmas and other times,
and
through
the annual Crafty
Craft race. We use the money to support the local community
- if you are a local charity or community project in need of funds
then follow the contact link
We also have close ties with a community of Round Tables in surrounding
towns, such as the Thatcham, Hungerford and Reading. In particular
there is an
ongoing
sporting competition between all of the tables in the area and there
are several (not too competitive) sporting events arranged with these
other
tables. We also help eachother out in our different community and charity
fund-raising events.
We are always keen to attract new members, and we will
make them feel
particularly welcome at our meetings. If you are interested in
coming along, then follow the contact link.
There is a lot more information on Newbury Round Table,
other round tables in the area and what being a tabler
involves on the questions page.
The RTBI link will take you to our national umbrella organisation,
and 91 Club is an annual meeting with other tables that
we are partnered with in Europe.
The members link takes you to a password-protected area which we use to provide information to our members,
such as the directory of member contact details and other documents.
