Come along and join in the fun at Crafty Craft on the May Bank Holiday, Monday 4 May 2009. This year's theme is History of Newbury so get your team together, build your craft and come and paddle the Kennet and Avon from Hungerford to Newbury. See you there!"

There are lots of themes to think about... 12th Century castle, the English Civil War, "Jack of Newbury", Newbury Bypass protests, Greenham Peace Camp. The list is endless! Have a look at www.newbury.net, www.newbury.gov.uk or www.localhistories.org for more ideas.

This years charities are Newbury Volunteer Bureau and Swings and Smiles. Early estimates are that the event this year has raised around £9000 - thank you to everyone.

 

  The Crafty Craft event is organised and run by the members of Newbury and District Round Table, Registered Charity No. 1047033
